a few days ago i decided to make a batch of snickerdoodle cookies. without any baking soda, i went across the street to my neighbors (a cute little old lady) and borrowed some. i told her i was very grateful and offered her some cookies in return. "i haven't had a snickerdoodle in almost 20 years!" she said. i dropped them off to her, and she left me this adorable letter in my mailbox the next day.
